"Beim 1. Besuch in Zinnowitz im vergangenen Jahr war ich so begeistert von der Qualität des Essens, der Bewirtung und der Atmosphäre, dass ich bei meinem erneuten Besuch -in Trassenheide zwar- unbedingt wieder Zum Smutje musste. Alles richtig gemacht! Es war erneut unkompliziert, sehr sehr nett und unglaublich lecker. Der Steinbutt ist ein Traum, Kartoffelstampf und Gurkensalat die perfekte und köstliche Begleitung. Ein leckerer Wein dazu und das Mahl war unschlagbar. Leider passte das Dessert bei mir nicht mehr rein, aber vermutlich eine weitere Köstlichkeit, die man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte.Ich komme immer wieder und bin jetzt schon gespannt auf erneute Köstlichkeiten!"

"We drove spontaneously to this restaurant. Luckily got a place and were served very well and friendly from the very beginning. The food (steak fish) was absolute top, went very fast and price-performance super. Just recommend!!!"

"It is good to see that the cook was more and more courageous to try out the seasonal menu. This time there were no oysters available (from September to April, availability), but as seasonal specialities I tasted summer truffles Omelette and Gazpacho. The Omelette was delicious: light as a feather, with a generous part of the truffles and some cherry tomato inside. It was served with some salad on the top (letter mix with cherry tomato) and sad, although delicious, the salad (especially its delicious dressing) distracts my taste buds from the star of the show – the truffles... In my opinion, it would be best to serve the salad separately (or at least not on the omelet) with just one line of olive oil or a classic vinaiigrette... The Gazpacho was also delicious. – I could feel the peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers with some olive oil and vinegar. – A small surprise – some cold steamed shrimps inside just to compensate for the strong taste of spices. – Perfect for a hot day! Anyway, I was glad that the Salat Maison with shrimp was still on offer. - Delicious as always. This time the Austrian Gruner Veltiner was my great discovery. – It was perfect with the above dishes, light and fruity, with notes of minerality and pepper. And... look at the light green notes in your glass!"

"If we make holiday on Usedom, a visit to the German House is obligatory. The garlic and fish soup is the hammer. The main courts were never disappointed. The prices are good. We paid 90 euros for 4 people (2 adults, 2 children) with appetizer. Food: 5 Service: 5 atmosphere: 5."
