I and my wife visited paris in the april, and during the exploration of the belleville and ménilmontant area we stopped for lunch. the restaurant was very busy and the waitress explained that there was a long waiting period. that was not a problem after walking around the cemetery of Pere...lachaise for a few hours. eating was excellent and waiting was nice sitting and watching the real paris road life over. I visited this restaurant 2 or 3 times a few years ago and it was unequivocally good eating in a really good atmosphere. imagine my disappointment in the other week that it was renovated like any other anodyne restaurant (which I have forgiven)...and that eating is bland, bland, bland, bland that I cannot overlook? a precursor of aubergines, tomatoes and mozzarella was completely without season and my chicken balloon...
