I didn't expect to find avocado in a classic diner. It was a pleasant surprise and of course I had to order it. Really enjoyed the ulcer, although the hashbrowns were too fat tide and the waffle was chewing. Bridal coffee was good. Good service and large portions. Many free parking. Island cafe has been in Anacortes for as long as I can remember. However, it used to be much better. Now it cost you 20+ dollars to get a classic normal breakfast. I know it is a family owned business but they are screwing their servers who are not family out of tips.
