Arrived in Ardres just after noon on a Saturday, looking for a quick-ish but good lunch before the crossing home. Kate's did just that. Two of us went for house pizzas (some interesting mixes of toppings), that were pretty authentic to good Italian pizza in the cooking - no soggy bottoms here! Three of us visited this restaurant on the square opp the Marie. The reviews that we read seemed to indicate that the steaks were good . We ordered three streaks and all three were not cooked to our liking , the chips were very soggy and the plate was made even more unpalatable by having salad on the plate with the steak put on top .
