Having reviewed the Black Lion before it changed hands I thought I ought to update. The new owner is French but having lived in the UK for many years speaks near perfect English. He has managed to keep the same Chief and his front of house staff are really good. I have marked this as a pub, but that only applies to the evenings, when the restaurant is closed.
