I stopped here for lunch today, the weather was perfect so I sat on their covered patio. I wasn’t sure what to order, but the waiter recommended the lamb tibs, so I had that with rice, salad, gomen, and pita bread. This was one of the best meals that I’ve had in a while. For those in the know, Desta is more whitewashed Ethiopian cuisine compared to the myriad of authentic competitors in the area. It fills a niche and is successful for a reason, but I wouldn 't call it authentic . It might be a reasonable first step into Ethiopian food for someone who is hesitant to dive in the deep end.
