Met with family for much needed get together. Gorgeous pub, attentive service and amazing food. Crab pate and gin trifle were my favourite. Although some items missing off menu they had replaced with amazing alternatives. Everything cooked to perfection. We shall be back. The pheasant wallpaper is worth seeing too. Loved this venue read more.

Okay 3 stars is kind of a relative score. I had expectations of the Pointer because it has (had) a great reputation. But we had a very run of the mill experience there. The place was chilly and the staff kept leaving the door open... Food was pretty standard, menu choice had nothing exciting to offer.
