Spent the day touring Bamberg and stopped to eat at this restaurant. I had the pork knuckle with sauerkraut and dumpling and it was amazing. The sauerkraut was very fresh and the portion size of the food was large. The staff was friendly which is helpful when you do not speak German. It wasn't a cheap place to eat but it was worth it. I found it because it was a carving restaurant, but honestly, that carving was the worst. the fried clothes and the meat were not very good. a thing that differed from the haksen was only okay, and the kartoffel that came with the haksen had a unique and delicious texture, and the pommes frites were delicious.
