I've been to Cherry red twice this week and have been very happy with the coffee and the tasty, inexpensive meals. The atmosphere is much more subdued than other cafes in the street so you can enjoy a normal conversation or a quiet read of the paper if you're alone. The staff are really nice and efficient too. We ate here last week for a lunch, we order serve of pancakes and eggs on toast. The banana pancakes were tasty but presentation could have been better..long cut slices of banana (less cooked) on top would make dish more presentable, with pancakes on a flat plate rather than bowl ...quite difficult to eat. Eggs were plentiful but mind the overuse of butter tasted too much like butter, but managed to get through half... View all feedback.
