We needed somewhere close to the Apex and remembered visiting Carluccio's several years ago. We received a warm, friendly welcome and we were served very quickly. The foccacia was delicious, the mushroom risotto tasty and the spaghetti carbonara generous. I enjoyed the chocolate bread and butter pudding but I'm sure it would have been better warm. Nothing like as good as it used to be. One main course had to be sent back because it was cold. I chose the same as I used to have ie just a side dish of spinach and a side dish of sautéed potatoes. The potatoes had obviously been reheated and I couldn’t taste the herbs at all and the spinach was just wilted spinach with none of the flavourings it used to have and both these dishes were half the size they used to be....
