I've always been a fan of hookah and the usual places in Calgary are extremely claustrophobic and poorly ventilated. That's not the case with Zaafran whatsoever. It is super clean with relaxing decor that doesn't make it feel like there's smoke everywhere and the walls are closing in on you. Decent Shisha... noisy music... difficult to talk to friends... Sitting is bar/lounge style and not shisha lounge style... The mix-grill plate was good... just don't order the Masala frits (the spices they used were just terrible). The prices are okay. I would visit again if they decided to cut to the music volume and play a mix instead of hip hop and Rnb back from 10-15 years, which felt like a loop. View all feedback.
