Having a wander around Cheltenham today and popped into one of the few independents operating in the town centre. Very pleasantly surprised with quality and quantity of the food on offer. Staff miserable as hell...no smiles, no welcome, no thank you until I paid the bill. Made to feel quite unwelcome, it was quite clear we weren't locals when we arrived as we didn't know whether it was order at the counter or waitress service so we hesitated about sitting down or ordering first.
