We were tipped off to visit this independent place by a local shopkeeper. Its located right by the Cathedral. We got a lovely friendly welcome and were shown to a table right away. We've been here before (see previous reviews). First place on the map when visiting Chester for lunch. Not any more, I'm afraid. Our latest experience was a really big let down. New (contracted) menu, increased prices, cheap ingredients...................Not the eating experience that we'd come to expect.
