Cafe Standard is really enjoyable. A limited menu but excellent food. I realize it's NYC but a lunch with a Turkey Club and a Caesar/salmon salad and no alcohol is steep at $70 (w/tip). The sandwich also had way too much bread which hides the quality of the turkey and bacon which were fantastic. Normally the standard is a solid breakfast spot. Today I had the worst service I've had in awhile I ordered the standard breakfast, which comes with coffee orange juice. When my order came, it only came with OJ. After I flagged down my waiter asking where my coffee was, he argued with me about whether it comes with coffee! I later showed him the menu where it clearly says you get both coffee/oj, and he finally relent... View all feedback.
We stayed the night at the Standard and decided to try the Cafe for breakfast on a Monday later...
The rest of the standard (hotel) was awesome, but the cafe folk are just rude. Bar tender glued...
