Finally tried this place and am annoyed I hadn't done so earlier! I did not catch that you actually cook your own food so it is not a takeout place or you're going to grab food and go eat real quick. That was my bad. You get seafood options already made and the quick directions to heat them up. It didn't take long. We got a crab cake, a shrimp cake, a crab and shrimp roll, and a clam chowder. Captain Chucky's is usually good. Yesterday, 02/14/2023, not so much. I called to see if they had two Smith Islands. CC Yes, we have plenty. Five minutes later I got there and asked for two, the guy asked what else, and I said that's all. He went in the back for a couple minutes. Meanwhile the woman up front started ringing me out. The crab cakes here are amazing! The owners are also the sweetest!
Their crab cakes are the best along with the mashed potatoes and key lime pie.
The restaurant also offers the possibility to sit outside and eat and drink in nice weather.
