My daughter Sarah invited me for lunch at my choice of restaurant and despite the excellent selection in the Comox Valley I didn't hesitate - The Beachwood Cafe. This has been my favourite breakfast spot in Courtenay but,I agree with some of the latest reviews, it has slipped a little.Mostly positive but serving cold potatoes under a warm eggskillet made this breakfast lackadaisical and forgettable.
