We called in while passing and although no food was available as a new chef wasn't starting until March we bought drinks and it was a lovely cosy little pub with a real fire. The bar is tidy and nice to look at and the lady behind the bar was very pleasant on her first day on the job. Lovely tables and seating and what looks like a recent paint job throughout. I came here for dinner, so that is what my rating reflects. It’s a nice enough pub with a reasonable selection of beers, but the kitchen staff had no idea how to cook a steak. It was grey and unseasoned; clearly the grill was not hot enough to start. They seemed to try to compensate the quality with quantity the blue cheese sauce I ordered came in a jug that must have had half a pint of the stuff. View all feedback.
