Although quite attractive from a distance, this pier, like Brighton Pier, looked rather tacky up close. The Victorian architecture was interesting and the Victoria Tea Rooms looked much more appealing than the array of shops and 'family amusements ' that left us cold. However, young children, carefully supervised, might think it was a wonderful experience. There were some nice views back toward the shore. View all feedback.
