Staff does not speak German. Communication in English is not a problem at all. I arrived late, this was not a problem. I was even cooked deliciously late in the evening. Unfortunately it has declined significantly. We went there for lunch some time ago after hiking. At that time there was still decent home cooking, as you know it from the Harz Mountains. Today, unfortunately, there is nothing left of it and you are served ready-made meals, which is a pity. The staff was very courteous and friendly, although we had to find someone to pay.
