For sure one of the best zoos around. I would recommend a ferry ride from Circular Quay to get to the zoo. There are fantastic views of the harbour, Opera House and Harbour Bridge on the way. A cable car takes you to the entrance of the zoo. The alternative is a shuttle bus from the ferry wharf. 3 to 4 hours is sufficient to cover the entire grounds, including a snack or quick meal break.
