We just returned from a two night stay at the Inn and can't wait to go back. What a charming place with an idyllic setting, fascinating history and friendly staff. Our view of the river and grounds from room 114 were beautiful, peaceful and refreshing and the room was clean and comfortable. This was a strange dinner evening at Benbow Inn. The wait staff were walking at an unusually fast pace from kitchen to tables. Made it hard to have a relaxing dinner as they bustled about. We had to request eating utensils after entrees served and again when dessert was served. Fish entree was salty and steak entree was served sliced in small pieces. Never seen that before.
