We wanted to try The Orient after reading all the good reviews, and I have to say, we weren't disappointed. The food was very fresh, and our server was friendly. The atmosphere wasn't bad either. You can choose to sit by a window, and have a decent view of the Bedford Basin. Plus you can watch the traffic going by, if you like that sort of thing. I walk in through the door and that was my greeting. I Thought I was not in a restaurant. I explained I would like to eat and I was to take a seat any where. I ordered wine but it won't be licensed until next week. That's ok. Fresh and delicious food. Possibly the best Chinese food I've had in Halifax. The Won Ton soup...
