I signed up for a 1-on-1 surf lesson. My instructor was Raye. Not enough words to describe her: phenomenal, fabulous, patient, kind, extraordinary. We started out with the basics on land, then paddled our hearts out to get past the reef below us and get to the waves. Her main goal: stay relaxed and just have fun. Which wasn’t hard!!
