For a newly reopened offering, the New Rose has what it takes to succeed and with the New Year refurbishment should be highly competitive on the Islington scene. A good range of beers and drinks is augmented by excellent food, both main and snacks. Friendly staff even the door person is part of customer Service keep the atmosphere buzzing. What Crazy Jim 83 doesn't like about New Rose Just Another Pub':
A bit dirty and dated, not in a chic modern way, just in a dank and not great way. Staff are a bit off kilter, the patrons were a mixed bunch. Watched the football which had clear commentary at a decent volume and on a big screen. Also tried a pizza. Good value food. Decent sized pizza, a little oily but not too bad. Wasn't convinced by adding Hummus to the pizza, doesn't work as an ingredient at all but otherwise it... View all feedback.
