This is the birthplace of beavertails. Nope, they're not the trailing part of castor canadensis but rather a tasty pastry. They won't make anyone's health foods list but for an occasional treat, they're hard to beat. The beavertails are just as good here as in the Byward Market in Ottawa and it's a lot less crowded - with a stream to sit beside and a nice little park close by, all in a peaceful little community.
