Doing a tour in Northern Maine we entered in Canada to see Lac Megantic and the remains of the catastrophic train explosion. We had lunch at Le Renato. Being in Quebec a Poutine was to be tried. This mix of French fries and other ingredients is a local specialty. I had The Steak and Poivre While my wife had the BBQ. Both were delicious and with the exchange rate very cheap. We dined in the signature part of the restaurant, very cozy and quiet spot of the restaurant. I ordered the salmon which was cooked to perfection, not too dry. It was perfect. The potato were a little raw but overall I enjoyed my dinner. My husband on the other hand had the lamp hock meal and he was very disappointed, it wasn’t hot, the meat was ok but the vegetable were tasteless and some uncooked. read more.
