I knew the place for the terrace outside but had never thought of having lunch there. It's been a nice discovery. Pleasant setting inside for a weekday lunch, I enjoyed the half-cooked tuna served on a mixed salad which was fresh, colorful and with a delicate dressing. This is the perfect place to sit down with a cup of coffee and wait for the historic clock to chime and perform near the fountain. On a sunny day, it is a lovely terrace for ice creams and of course, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when the Lausanne outdoor market is in full swing, it is the best place to put down your shopping bags and grab a quick lunch.
