The Mermaid was the first restaurant I tried in greece and it was definitely a success. The restaurant is not 100% vegan, so they do serve meat, dairy and fish. So keep that in mind. The couple that runs the restaurant is very friendly. They have traditional vegan greek food, but also pizza and pasta which can be turned vegan if you ask for it. We chose it for live music. Service is very slow. Hersey was incredibly careless. There was no glass left for ouzo, they gave me a glass of water. We waited about 30 minutes to get ice. There was a fork but the knives were fruit knives. The food was not cooked, we sent it back and it came back uncooked. We didn't get up to be shameful, but it was the worst experience I've ever had.
