We had excellent pub food with generous country pub style servings on Monday night (15th May when Lyndoch Hill restaurant was closed after Mothers Day functions the day before). The atmosphere was great.We tried arriving for tea again on Wednesday without a booking, and the place was much busier with more of the ambience of a food court than the lovely country pub we visited on the Monday, and we decided not to wait... Walked in after a long drive and just wanted a counter meal. When we ordered no-one asked if we wanted salad or vegetables....watched lots of yummy meals come out but ours came as just our main with chips. Mains were average. I guess we could have eaten at the salad bar but it was looking pretty sad. Would have stayed for a beer but no one seemed interested in serving us. View all feedback.
