The four-course Sunday Carvery at the Weald of Kent Golf Club Restaurant is excellent value. There was a varied choice of starters (I had the fish cake), the meats for the carvery were excellently cooked and very tasty (with an extremely good selection of vegetables) and there was a good choice of desserts (I had the bread and butter pudding). For what was advertised as probably the best carvery in Kent, all four of us were very disappointed and won’t be going back. There was plenty of food but only nut roast offered as the vegetarian alternative. Service was ‘indifferent’ and the discretionary tip added to the bill. For four courses plus coffee and chocolates, it’s definitely not a bad price but the quality was not what was expected, given the claim! View all feedback.
