La Michoacana Plus on 13th deserves more recognition. The other location on Cesar Chavez had to close during Covid and the owner has had difficulty getting workers ever since. However, he makes his ice cream in the Cesar Chavez location and offers it in the 13th street location. At a party we tried their fresa con crema and granola (delicious by the way). My husband went in to order the drink we tried at the party; ask for vanilla. He seen that the ice cream was yellow and asked her to change it. She refused. For 38.00 for 2 drinks you would think she would have made it right. Anyhow, we will never go there again.
