Nyc has a local rival! Has luck and pulled for a quick coffee, grabbed Bagels because why not... after 7yrs in Manhattan, before I recently moved to Philly, I can comfortably say that this is the best bagel around and gives 85% of the top NYC spots a run for their money. We 've been here several times, and have always been pleased. Their bagels never were over-the-top good, but they were decent and provided a hearty foundation for cream cheese and lox. The last visit was different. I 'm not sure if they 're under new ownership, if they changed their recipe, or if it was an off day.
