Everything you'd want in a homey German restaurant -- good solid food, nice wines. The highlight for me was the leberknodel soup; possibly the best I've ever had (see photo). Wir waren am frühen Sonntagabend im alten Vater Rhein und wunderten uns, dass wir die einzigen Gäste waren. Wir hatten als Vorspeise 2 Tomatensuppen und 2 frische Beilagensalate. Bei den Hauptgängen probierten wir die Rinderbeinscheibe, die Rindsroulade und das Schnitzel 'Wiener Art'.
