We usually call in here when visiting Wells-next-the-Sea; it really is a lovely pub and the food used to be really good. In fact the Moules Mariniere is still excellent. In a seaside pub we expected the fish and chips to be equally good but...clearly the chef cooking on the day we visited needs some training on how hot oil needs to be to fry batter and leave it dry.
