Had lunch here before visiting The Conifers Nursing Home. It was quite busy and it had a nice atmosphere. We decided on fish and chips which was outstanding and a Timothy Taylor steak pie with chunky chips which was also excellent I personally felt it was let down by ordinary garden peas instead of mushy or minted peas. Was in the area and always fancied giving this pub a try. Found a table then someone came over to take our drinks order and advised us it would be a 35 minute wait on food. That was no problem- however the wait ended up being 55 minutes sadly they did even bring our sides. We both had a baguette- both very nice! Came with lovely side salad a few crisps.
