I am so sad to refer to this as my first and last trip to Cana as they will close their doors permanently on Feb 18. But was excited and happy to sample a variety of food for dinner with 2 friends. The food was amazing! They had a great drink and food menu with a variety of things, but I opted out of drinks for the night. We came here on an unplanned St Patrick's Day. At the bar was a few locals watching Puerto Rican baseball. It was your typical Oakland bar scene with an old hipster couple, a construction worker and some other random Oaklandites. The portions are huge for a post pandemic, pre recession restaurant. Came here on my birthday because I wanted something different. I got Beef Empanadas, Ropa Vieja...
