Nice experience! The food was solid- had the seared foie gras (excellent), the beef tartar (not great as it was barely seasoned) and fish (yum). Based on Rue Montorguel, restaurants have to be very good (because of competition from the numerous other restaurants nearby) or are more tourist traps able to survive because the food street has so many visitors. Not sure where L’Escargot fits in that but I suspect it leans to the later. Full, early on a Wednesday evening, we had to wait without guidance to be seated before finding a spare table ourselves.
