We didn't book but were accommodated (it was a busy Friday evening) on a nice table to the rear of the restaurant. The food was amazing - for example the escargot starter was served in a perfect mix of butter and garlic. As this was our first night we wanted a real experience of Paris dining and feel we got it with Le Petit Bofinger, I felt it had just the right mix of atmosphere and sophistication. Astier was closed even though we had a reservation and Bofinger was full so went across the street to Petit Bofinger. Ambiance is nice and menu at 25e was good price. The food was good but not a place to waste a night on in Paris unless it is Sunday. Nice wine choices and good foie gras and the desserts.
