this is a great pub with a great atmosphere and eating is very good, I had the fish and chips and it says it is big, it is not disappointed, perfectly cooked, my wife had the steak and ale cake and again beautiful, the beer are good. it usually runs really well, but from some reason today the few coworkers who were, seemed to be everywhere, dinge go wrong all the time, but it didn't affect us, I give it 5* as I reall... Absolutely hopeless!! Stopped in the carpark to pick-up some walkers that walked from Grasmere. Then discovered it was shut and then got abused for parking in the parking lot!!! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 View all feedback.
Just a gorgeous old pub with so much history and character to soak up. Price per person: £10–20...
