We wanted a little inexpensive joint in which to have lunch and remembered this little gem from our previous evening's stroll. We sat on the street (and yes, I said street- complete with cars and trucks nearly brushing the back of my husbands chair- as we say, only in Mexico!) and had a delightful waitress. I went to Caiman Tugurio on a Friday night. There was live music and the band kept playing depressing songs from the 90's (not the kind of music you expect in a bar on a Friday night). The service was slow and the waitress didn't seem to care at all about us. Like most places in Playa del Carmen, the drinks are quite expensive. View all feedback.

In the menu there is also a assortment of vegan meals, which entirely avoid animal products.

In nice weather you can even be served in the outdoor area, and there's a counter where you can sit down and have. The guest room invites you to linger and extensively sample.
