Tucked away by a quaint bridge and swamped by a myriad vendors of lights and lighting fixtures, Golden Fortune is a gem of a find. If you like really fresh seafood - swimming in aquariums, awaiting certain ingestion - then this place is it. Prawns, suahe, clams, oysters, crabs of different sorts, lapulapu - have it cooked your way. We had the suahe na halabos, bokchoy and steamed lapulapu. Perfect. The suahe was so fresh that it was sweet, while the lapulapu was fall-off -the-bone delicate. And all this comes with free dessert - a fruit jello - that it helps complete the trip to Binondo. Too full? Walk it off by going to Ho-land for the best Hopia and Eng-Ho for the best butter and chiffon cakes.
Oh, and it would have been 5 stars, but they were out of the crabs. Must go back soon.
