we chose the jolly sailors for bonfire night to take our dog away from fireworks, as it is quite isolated. many others had the same idea! this part worked well. what turned the evening into something special was the friendly, helpful staff that no one looked up with round dogs in the bar and the absolutely excellent fishing and chips and that is excellent both in quality and in quantity. Good portions of typical pub Sunday dinner, cooked well and not dried out. Waiting staff didn 't really know what beers they had on or if they had mustard (bless 'em) but we didn 't have to wait long for drinks or food so it did the trick for us today. View all feedback.

Nice enough pub food but the building is very cold.
