La Romantica, Rayleigh's oldest independent Italian restaurant, opened its doors in 1969 and is run by Marco and his team. With the motto "Let Our Family Look After Yours," this family-owned business has consistently maintained a 5-star health hygiene rating. The restaurant is located in a charming grade II listed building on Rayleigh's historic high street, offering picturesque views of the Holy Trinity Church and its 15th century tower.

1. to visit here, would it have been a long time ago they have been here since 1969 my mother for her birthday so happy that we did the personal really friendly and attentive it was very special eating was excellent, remembering a picture halfway through eating so apologised for, but hopefully they can see very good quantities all really well cooked the starters were delicious and great gladvi shared mine with mama soon.

If you like average food, noisy and cramped restaurants then this place is for you, if however, if you like authentic Italian food and great service then avoid. To say it was cramped would be an understatement, I would say a fire risk for sure. No more than 20 cm between tables.
