We were recommended to pay Cafe Mozart a visit and try the"Salzburg Nockerl". So we did just that and weren't disappointed, I can only distribution it as a sort of Baked Alaska without any ice-cream!! It was a base of cranberries topped with three meringue mountains which weren't too sweet, and then baked. One was enough for two to share. Something a little different, in a nice little cafe. Popped in for the renowned nockerl that Cafe Mozart is known for at around 8pm We were the only people in the cafe and it was quite clear that the waiter wanted to close up and go. No vibe, no music, no friendly smiles. Just...the staff cleaning tables and packing chairs. Actually felt quite uncomfortable.
