We happened to be in Salzburg on a religious holiday and almost all stores and restaurants were closed. Luckily the restaurant in our hotel was open and we went there for dinner. I had venison with brown gravy, red cabbage and noodles and my wife had a chicken Caesar salad. There was a noisy tour group in the dining room but we were able to sit in a corner away from them. When the hotel front desk staff tell you to look at eating in town, you know there must be an issue. Menu very, very limited and chef will not deviate from the menu like other Mercure chefs do. Sorry, but for price paid to meal quality, walk down the road to Restaurant Beccofino where you will get good food for a great price. View all feedback.
