Came here on a random night and it was busy! We somehow got a table right away and enjoyed the entire experience. Our server was very friendly and helpful. He checked in on us frequently too. The combo #2 platter was a huge serving of meats, coleslaw, toast, potato salad, and beans. The pulled pork was amazing and smokey. So juicy, so tender! Lived in SF 30 yrs and I'd not recommend Cowgirl. It used to have decent BBQ, but there are MUCH better options now in SF. Parking is horrible. Cowgirl has an aggressive security guard (called Nacho). Even if you park AND shop (totally within your rights allowed) across the street (Sambusco), a guard will confront you (the woman usually) INSIDE the restaurant (publicly) and request that you leave.
