Driving down from Pico do Ruivo and in need of sustenance we stopped in at this roadside bar. Very friendly guy behind the bar (good English spoken) and two perfect pregos (steak sandwiches) and chips served in quick time to a quiet table outside. Couldn't be better! View all feedback.

The menu states that he kitchen closes at midnight each night. We arrived at 22:45, waited ten minutes for somebody to approach the table to take an order (which didn't happen- we had to go to the bar), only to be told they wouldn't cook anything as there was only one member of staff.
