in my humble opinion, this is the best pub in who and surroundings. a great atmosphere, nice eating and excellent beer. the castle is a joules ales pub and there is a great selection of own joules beer in the offer. I recommend the slumbering monk definitely worth a visit. read more.

Visited here today. Service was poor! Ordered 4 meals. 2 came out together. Waited for 3rd and then 4th arrived when first 2 had been eaten!! I think they must only have 1 frying pan as the 2 last meals were omelettes. Was not asked if we wanted any sauces. I asked for brown sauce, put it on my food and it was BBQ sauce!
