There was nothing rusty about the Food, the Atmosphere or the Company at The Rusty Axe. This was a first class family experience, all was of the highest standard. I have little doubt that Stembridge has rediscovered an absolute gem of an oasis in the...middle of Somerset that is more than just a local pub. The out of rating MUST be for the previous ownership. We stopped in for a beer on a long walk and the ales were all off, I can forgive a one off but the barman even asked me to taste them all before...buying because they had had a lot of complaints, they were all off, he then asked me what I thought the problem was, pipes aren't cleaned and the barells are poorly kept was my answer.
