For those of us that enjoy a quiet pub on a Sunday afternoon,and a good reasonably priced meal. The Central Tavern is a must. The service is top notch and the food was reasonable for fare in its class & the staff were very friendly.We had the steaks all round and they were tender and cooked flawlessly. A jug full of ice didn't leave much room for lemonade, unfortunately we had the same problem with alcoholic drinks, the ice was emptied if asked, however, if any family members forgot to ask they got a glass or jug full of ice.It used to have a lovely family feel with an ice cream machine and a few games for the children to play which have all gone.There is still a little play area for small children which is lovely....
